Tuesday Takes Banner (6 x 2 in) (3)

Hello friends,

Last weekend, we took my teenager daughters apple-picking for possibly the last time as a family of four.  We enjoyed a beautiful day in the orchard before driving home and creating apple butter, apple crisps and whatever else apple we could think of, and it was awesome.

We've reached that stage with a high school senior in which every family tradition may be on the verge of changing forever, which can be sad but also a little exciting.  Those memories will always be there, but maybe it's time to start creating some new traditions.  I hope you are enjoying making memories this time of year with your family and friends, and I'd love to hear about them with a quick reply!

Alright, let's get to this week's takes.

Marketing Tip: Tell One Story

A strong brand is not built on a cool logo or a clever tagline. It is built through consistency, when everyone in your organization is sharing the same story about who you are and how you help.

Every touch point matters. Your website, sales calls, email, demos, invoices, and customer conversations all tell a story about your brand. The question is: are they all telling the same one?

That is where a one-liner becomes powerful. It is a simple statement your entire team can memorize and use to describe what you do and why it matters. It follows a clear formula:

Problem + Solution + Result

When everyone in your company knows and uses your one-liner, your message becomes clear, confident, and consistent. And consistency builds trust.

Take time this week to craft or revisit your one-liner. Then make sure every person on your team knows it by heart, because every conversation is a chance to build your brand.

Mindset Shift: The Gift of Imposter Syndrome

Imposter syndrome gets a bad reputation, but it is actually one of the best signs that you are growing. Feeling like you do not belong usually means you have stepped into a new, uncomfortable, and challenging space, and that is where the real growth happens.

When I played competitive golf, I always wanted to be paired with golfers who were better than me. Playing with guys who outdrove me or sank more putts pushed me to focus, elevate my game, and learn. Playing with golfers worse than me did nothing for my progress.

The same is true in life and business. If you never feel out of your depth, you are probably staying too comfortable.

So this week, do something that makes you feel like the rookie in the room. Join a group that challenges you. Take a swing at something new. Get comfortable being uncomfortable, because that is where growth lives.
